The Tompkins County Amateur Radio Association's
Monthly Meetings

First Tuesday of Each Month at 7:00 PM
At the Department of Emergency Response, 92 Brown Road, Ithaca, NY

The Tompkins County Amateur Radio Association (also known as the Tompkins County Amateur Radio Club) is the present-day incarnation of the original Ithaca Mike and Key Club, started in the 1950's. The name was changed around 1972-73. The TCARC Call Sign: AF2A, was trasferred to the club in lasting memory of one of the club founders Ray Reynolds. Monthly meetings occur at the Department of Emergency Response at Ithaca in the gorgeous Fingerlakes Region of Central New York State. We enthusiastically invite anyone interested in ham radio to come to a meeting or join in the chatter on our repeaters. Residence in Tompkins County is NOT a requirement for membership, neither is having an amateur license or callsign. If you want to get one we're sure we have a member who can help!

The purpose of Tompkins County Amateur Radio Association is to provide an organization to promote and maintain cooperation among it's members in the advancement, education, and enjoyment of amateur radio; to further the interest of amateur radio in the local community; to sponsor amateur radio related educational and testing activities, to provide training for emergency communications; provide communication for the local community when necessary; and to sponsor HAMFESTS and other fund raising activities to support the operation and maintenance of the associations' repeaters.
